When I was six years old, my dad bought a 1974 Lotus Europa and gave it to me. We have been working to finish the car for 13 years. In the beginning, it was primarily my dad working on the car while I watched, him teaching me day by day. However, as I grew up, I began to work on the car more and more, with the eventual goal of taking the car to the car show at Road America. Every summer, we would say, "Let's take the car next year," and after many summers, it is finally time. I read a book by David Vizard about getting more performance from the Twin Cam Ford. I designed and built my exhaust header based on his instructions. I made many calls to Ken at Dave Bean Engineering for parts. During those summers, there was sanding and repairing the body or working on the cylinder head, taking it apart and reassembling it. Eventually, I got everything right and went for the first drive. After many adjustments and long days, it became amazing!

Road America was always the goal for the car since the very beginning. In Mile's first attempt at bringing the Europa to a car show, he finished second place in his class.
